Relief Prints
I began making prints in 2014 with linoleum, rubber, and, to a limited extent, woodcut blocks as a means of continuing the tradition of hand made, affordable prints in the spirit of Ukiyo-e. However, some works with Western themes use hatchline shading. The prints are primarily done in black ink, but experiments with color are in consideration.
Linocut 7x5 Price: $200 One would assume this image treats the Amazons as captives and trophies of desire being taken away by their dominant male counterparts, but the situation is actually the opposite. The Amazons have determined their worthy mates through their strength and endurance. They preferred to be carried away like sex slaves to prolong the excitement of role playing in their private abodes.
Linocut 8x10 Price: $250 A continuation of the Wrestling Courtesan series, this image adopts a manga style narration with cells. The "wrestling" match involves testing the sexual endurance of actual Sumo athletes and the participant has obviously failed to bring the courtesan to orgasm. As she falls to the arms of her colleagues, she expresses her disappointment with flatulence.
Drypoint 8x8 Price: $400 What spurred the creation of this image were acts of vandalism by ISIS in their ideological effort to erase all idolatry as well as past history. Even bitter memories of the Taliban wrecking the Bamiyan Buddhas had welled up, but we mustn't forget that history repeats itself and our own Western history is no exception. Much of the erotic art output of the ancient world were wiped out by our Christian religious zealotry.
Drypoint 12x9 Price: $400 Amazonomachy are mostly sculptural friezes that displayed battles between Amazons and and ancient Greeks. They usually carry a propaganda of symbolizing all the enemies of ancient Greece as "weak" females. However this print is a counter point to that worn-out formula. It's the Amazons who had engaged the males in battle to determine their fighting prowess. Prowess meant endurance and good genes. When that was determined, they conquer them with sex.
Linocut 9x12 Price: $350 A fantasy sport for concubines. This endurance sport is performed on the same sacred ground as a Sumo wrestling match. Willing concubines test their love-making skills by measuring how long they maintain their action on the strap-on dildos of partners. One prominent contestant has fallen off bounds and is having an orgasm as the audience catch her from below. The audience in the background had been possessed by the energy and exploded into an orgy.
Relief print 8x5 Price: $245 Opulent interiors serve as a background to glorify British drama in popular TV shows and movies. Why can't these splendorous interiors serve as a grand theater for equally grand exhibitions of erotic drama? More is more and great eroticism can only compliment and enrich.
Drypoint 7x5 Price: $250 This Venus is loosely based on Giorgione's "Sleeping Venus." There's nothing symbolic about the bamboo forest- it only serves as a privacy screen. She is not sleeping either, but rather feeling vulnerable in hiding her privates with a silk cloth.
Linocut 9x12 Price: $225 Theseus is being punished in the underworld for several crimes committed in the downturn of his life. Some of his misdeeds involved the kidnapping and impregnation of the Amazon queen Hippolyta. We only see the finger of Theseus' female torturer, applying a tiny bolt of lighting to his genitals and forcing him to discharge. Is Theseus expressing remorse for the rape, or is he experiencing ecstasy? I leave that up to the viewer.
Linocut 5x7 Price: $135 Since Amazons were a mythical race of warriors, it's worth fantasizing how they choose their mates to prolong their race and culture as part of self-preservation. They must have had a preference for men with a high prowess in the martial arts and a chance to to procure their seed must have happened often during and after conquest.
